Ms. Anu Gehlot

Anu has been a brilliant psychologist for me for about 8 months now. What I find in her, which is a marked departure from other professionals I have been to, is that she not only makes you understand why your past triggers or traumas are leading to issues in your present — but also spends her time equipping you with tools to process that realisation in a way that will help you break patterns. Amongst other things, she will ask you to develop a healthier vocabulary for your issues, to stay with the emotions and observe them in your body and send over worksheets to process things. This helped me regulate my emotions and responses like never before. It does not happen overnight, healing is not a linear process (she will say this a lot haha), and that is right. But I have seen, and I speak for myself, visceral changes within me.

Visited for life counselling 

Life is not exactly a bed of roses for anyone and mine is no different. However, some of my actions added to the already difficult times that life had thrown at me. It was a random online search that took me to Dr Anu Gehlot. It has been a little over four months and I have had more than two 25 sessions and till date not even in one session, she has lost her cool or attentiveness.

She even remembers all that I have told her over the months.  What is commendable is her ability to communicate her point of view. She ensures a warm atmosphere so that the patient is comfortable enough to share the deepest secrets which then helps in proper diagnosis and treatment. I would recommend Dr Anu Gehlot to anyone who wants a doctor with a mind free of any prejudices or judgements.  

Based on my needs and issues, I can confidently say that Anu maam is a good match for me. I deal with emotional dysfunction, identity crisis and screen addiction among other issues. I have had a long on and off client-therapist relationship with her and not once I felt a disconnect with her. The secret lies in her ability to be candid, spontaneous and humanely. She successfully creates a non-judgemental environment. She helps me in exploring alternative explanations and in gaining a different perspective. I have become more expressive and self aware. Once I couldn't make the payment after the session and she politely said that I can pay in next session. This shows her concern for the client! With the education qualifications she has, she charges very reasonably; something that I absolutely admire about her as a professional!!

I would not be exaggerating if I say Ms. Anu Gehlot helped me turn my life around. I was already taking medication for ADHD and while they certainly helped for a bit, they were not enough to untangle my life's mess. I was unsure whether therapy would help me further or not but I decided to take the plunge anyway and I am happy to say it was the best decision of my life. Over the course of 1.5 years, I was gradually able to stop my medication and come to terms with the unnecessary guilt I had associated with myself for all my failures over the past few years. Whereas once I considered my ADHD as a curse that prevented me from achieving my dreams, I now see it as a gift that allows me perceive the world differently than others. My healing process has only just begun. I still have a long way to go. But every day is a little easier knowing that I have someone like Ms. Anu Gehlot who only has my best interests in mind.

I have been consulting Ms. Anu Gehlot for about 2 years and have made significant progress in dealing with OCD and anxiety. She is an extremely competent psychologist who is aware about the issues at hand and knows the different methods to tackle them. Mental illnesses like OCD can be very alienating because very few people understand them, but I always feel lighter and better after my sessions with her. I can easily say that I am better equiped to deal with a chronic issue like OCD than I was 2 years ago. She is a kind, compassionate, and empathetic person. And these are some essential qualities for a good therapist. I was lucky to have found her through Practo itself because it is often very difficult to find a suitable psychologist without loads of research. I would recommend anyone suffering from mental health issues or life issues in general to consult her.

I'm not sure where to begin or end with talking about Anu. Dr Gehlot - who, over the past two years, I have grown to call Anu - is an absolute gem of a person and a superlative psychologist. Kind, generous, spirited, Anu stands out from every other therapist I have ever visited for her ability to listen without judgement - and to offer solution WITH you rather than TO you. When you need it, she lends an ear, advice, CBT strategies, friendly banter - pretty much everything in one. To be honest, in the last two years, my life - anxiety and OCD-riddled - is better and richer for her presence and her kind words. It's not often you 'vibe' so perfectly with a mental health professional, but when you do, don't let them go. I couldn't recommend Anu higher to anybody going through something tough and seeking a little help to get through.

I have been consulting Ms. Gehlot for well over a year, both in person and online. I am satisfied with our therapeutic relationship. It is truly a safe space where you do not have to hold back for fear of judgement. I always feel heard, no matter what the issue, thanks to her patience. My mental health seems so much more manageable. Would definitely recommend.

So personally I have been skeptical about therapy in the past and have not been regular with it because of not so pleasing experiences but it all turned around as soon as I came across Anu. She provides you with the safest and a non judgemental environment. She has helped me in my lowest of days and continues to do so, I can't emphasise or describe her importance in my personal growth. I went from someone who didn't like therapy to someone who looks forward to it every week. And to be honest she genuinely feels like a wonderful person for whom I am so thankful.

I was referred to Dr.Anu Gehlot by a close friend who was under her treatment at that time. I was dealing with certain issues inthe family which led me to have a negative image of myself. Dr.Gehlot listened to me patiently and tried to understand what i was going through. I have had six counselling sessions with her so far and I am already feeling positive about myself and my situations.
